The last photo is of a pair of hand made bespoke speaker stands made specifically for the speakers with adjustable floor spikes. You will not find another pair on the planet. They sound amazing on their own, let alone with the others complimenting them. The front and rear (and sub) are not the same brand but after months of research before purchase I discovered Eltax and Gale are made by the same company. Tonally they are the matched and sound amazing together. Sat alongside them is the Sony AV amp and Blu Ray player. The STR-DN1000 7.1 Channel AV amp delivers Full HD 1080i experience, 7 HD inputs including 4 HDMI inputs and compatible with 24p True Cinema technology video signals. Also allows you to share your music wirelessly throughout your home via the optional S-Air transmitter and AirStation client. Besides Blu-ray, DVD and CD, this machine even spins SACD discs. Not only that, but it can stream a DSD signal (Digital Stream Direct), to a compatible home cinema receiver. There are two USB inputs, one of which can be used to attach an external hard drive so you can view the stored contents. Wi-fi isn't included as standard ­– ­­­­ you'll need Sony's optional dongle for the full wireless experience. Sony has also paid more attention to file support. The 'S370 is compatible with MKV, AVCHD and DivX files, among others. One new feature is the ability to control the player with an iPhone or iPod Touch. The Sony has to be linked to a home network and you also need to download Sony's free BD Remote app from the iTunes store and register your device with the player. In practice it works smoothly and with little fuss. Whatever type of disc is being played, the 'S370 is the most potent deck at this price point today. Blu-ray images boast remarkable depth and clarity – the attention to detail during Terminator Salvation is spectacular. Sony's colour balance is superb too: it's capable of displaying greater degrees of subtlety is quite impressive. Talented with sound too, the ‘S370's talents extend to sound performance, too. The Sony edges out other players for outright resolution, but of greater significance is that it provides a wonderfully balanced, focused sound. Whether listening to Faithless on SACD or the Gorillaz on CD, the Sony's extra insight and excellent timing ensures you're thoroughly entertained. What you have with the Sony BDP-S370 is a fabulous package that combines top-drawer performance, a fine smattering of features and quite incredible value for money. Reason for selling is a major upgrade. Decent speaker cable is a must, and with it you'll see the true potential this set up has to deliver. All of the speakers are in immaculate condition and have been hugely loved and very well looked after. They are from a smoke and animal free home. I'm sad to see them go as they've served me well. They were expensive when purchased so I'd like them to go to someone who'll get the same level of satisfaction as I have. ALL SPEAKERS ARE IN ORIGINAL BOXES AND PACKAGING. ONLY STANDS THAT ARE NOT.
